Dr Linda's Summer Trek Challenge For Mind Charity

On Saturday 17 August 2024, Spectrum’s Chief Executive Dr Linda Harris OBE will be undertaking her annual fundraiser in Yorkshire – and you’re invited!

Her summer charity challenge will be a fundraising trek for our chosen charity of the year, Mind. Founded in 1946 and originally named the National Association for Mental Health, Mind has helped improve the lives of people with mental health problems, ensuring everyone experiencing a mental health issue can access the help they need. The trek, located in Reeth, will commence at 10am from The Black Bull Hotel. Situated in the north-eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the approximately 14-mile route is shaped like a figure eight and is on predominantly flat terrain. The trek will be split into two parts, with both legs following a little of the Wainwright Way. There will be a lunch break in between, so you can join in with just one leg or both. There’s a variety of pubs to choose from, or you can bring a picnic lunch to eat on the green.
