It's World Mental Health Day

10/10/2024

world mental health dayOn Thursday 10 October, Spectrum staff commemorated World Mental Health Day (WMHD). The official theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health was “It Is Time To Prioritise Mental Health In The Workplace“.

For WMHD, our charity of the year Mind is highlighting the UK’s mental health crisis; 2 million people are currently stuck on waiting lists for NHS mental health services. On top of this, mental health stigma is still a huge issue – real people, being left behind by a broken mental health system. On 10 October, we united as an organisation to help fundraise for mental health support.

Prioritising mental health in the workplace can often be difficult, especially if you work in a busy site. But there’s no better way to do so than to take a well-deserved break, making time to chat to colleagues over a brew or some food.

At Spectrum’s head office, Navigation Walk, our colleagues Sue and Tamzin organised a Tea & Talk trolley and made the rounds whilst shining a light on mental health.
