Belinda Loftus (Cluster Manager for Spectrum’s Sexual Health Services) has been appointed as a Nurse Representative to the Board of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH).
This important role helps to ensure that nurses have a voice in organisations which are medic-heavy, as nurses make up the majority of the Sexual Health workforce. Part of Belinda’s role as a Nurse Representative will be to get involved with workforce planning on the Education Committee, sit on the Pharmacy Committee and look at developing nurses and how they are represented within BASHH. This will also include encouraging nurses to join BASHH, submit and showcase projects at the annual BASHH conference and take part in the Special Interest Groups.
