Primary Care help and advice

Primary Care services provide the first point of contact in the healthcare system. This includes general practice, community pharmacies, dentists, and opticians.

The NHS Choices website has a wealth of information including finding a local service, guides to health conditions, symptoms and treatments, medicines and more.

Deciding which health service you need can be tricky sometimes. This helpful guide from the NHS helps to explain how to choose the right service for you.

If you have an urgent health concern, call 999 or visit the Emergency Department at your local hospital.

If you are feeling unwell, or for other health advice and guidance enquiries, you can call NHS 111 (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week), visit an Urgent Treatment Centre or contact your GP Practice. You can also ask advice from your community Pharmacist on a range of symptoms.
