Tuesday 19 November saw Spectrum come together to celebrate the achievements of our organisation, with a dynamic Staff Conference & Awards event. This year’s theme, “Powered by Connection and Collaboration,” encapsulated the foundation of our work at Spectrum – highlighting the innovative ways we’ve driven positive change together over the past year.
The hybrid event started with a showcase of colleagues’ work, via a World Café format – a structured conversational process for knowledge sharing amongst small groups of people. Tables featured exciting projects happening across Spectrum, with presentations designed to spark connections and collaboration. This was then followed by our awards ceremony in the afternoon.
Spectrum’s Chief Executive Dr Linda Harris and Steve Wragg (Spectrum Chair) hosted proceedings, welcoming over 150 guests to Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield – in person and via a Teams livestream. The Roger Grasby Innovation Award saw fantastic presentations, showcasing three innovations that have had a positive impact this year. The winner was chosen by attendees, voting on the day:

- Cover To Cover Sexual Health Project
The event culminated in the highly anticipated awards presentation. Shaking things up from last year, Dr Linda began with the most prestigious accolade of the day, the Chief Executive’s Award. Chosen by the CEO herself, the winner received a standing ovation for their contribution to Spectrum – going above and beyond to exemplify organisational values. The 20 winners were:

Employee of the Year, Clinical – Jenny, HMP Northumberland10 colleagues were also recognised with a long service award, for working at Spectrum for a decade. It was an emotional day, filled with inspiring achievements and acknowledgment – as well as a reminder of how far the organisation has come over the past thirteen years.
